Cleveland braces for Billy Joel, Nicki Minaj concerts plus Guardians game Friday night
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Billy Joel and multi-platinum rapper Nicki Minaj are each set to perform concerts in Cleveland on Friday night, while the Guardians host the Texas Rangers at Progressive Field.
It's expected to be a busy night in downtown Cleveland as the city hosts three major events on Friday night.
Billy Joel will perform at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, while Nicki Minaj will take the stage at the Wolstein Center.
Meanwhile, the Guardians will host the Texas Rangers at Progressive Field. The game is scheduled to start at 7:10 p.m.
With all three events taking place on the same night, traffic and parking are expected to be heavy in downtown Cleveland.
The city is encouraging people to use public transportation or ride-sharing services to get around.
The RTA will be offering extended service on the Red, Blue and Green lines on Friday night.
Additionally, Lyft is offering a 20% discount on rides to and from the three events.
